Project Manager

We are currently seeking proactive, collaborative, and passionate Project Managers to join our team! Therefore, the ideal candidate will share this passion for executing design solutions while also having the ability to communicate in an intelligent, decisive, and synchronized manner with all parties involved throughout all phases of the project.
About You:
  • You have extensive project management experience (min. 8-10 years as a project manager) on small and large public and private projects; managing all phases including the coordination of internal and external team members
  • You are a superior organizer; able to work on multiple projects concurrently and prioritize deadlines accordingly
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all types of clients and fellow coworkers
  • You are a strong communicator: attentive, patient and articulate
  • You can explain various complexities of work to non-architects
  • You are proficient in phasing projects, upholding regulations, building codes, and various delivery methods, such as design-bid-build
  • You are an effective problem solver: adept at negotiating contracts, project financials, and project scheduling
  • You understand the importance of cultivating experiences for others and actively engage with younger architects to further educate and refine your project team for the sake of improved project outcomes
  • You are a licensed architect and preferably have a working knowledge of Revit
  • You are well versed in sustainable practices and preferably are a LEED accredited professional, CDT and/or CCCA

 

About the Position:
  • Manage all phases of design and construction
  • Delegate tasks to project team members
  • Act as the primary contact for client interaction
  • Attend client interviews and staff interviews
  • Oversee financial management of all assigned projects
  • Negotiate scope of work, according to the contract agreement
  • Monitor the adherence of project schedules and QA/QC standards on Contract Documents, answer RFI’s, review shop drawings and provide support to Construction Administrator
  • Manage all subconsultants
  • Report to the Principal-in-Charge on project progress and potential issues while proposing solutions to challenges
  • Administer and lead all deliverables on the project; working in sync with project team to maintain schedules and present milestones to the client
  • Collaborate with Principals and Business Development team on project fees, content for proposals and resource allocation
  • Prepare “front end” specifications for each project with specifications writer
  • Promote new business development whenever possible, maintain ongoing relationships with current and past clients
