Around The Office
News

USA Architects is proud to welcome designer Mark Bolos! After officially joining us last week, Mark has seamlessly settled himself at our Somerville office and has proven to be an asset to the team. We sat down with him to catch up and find out more about his interests and perspective on architecture.

How was your first week at USA Architects?

My First week was great. My co-workers and teammates are very friendly and welcoming. The step up to a larger firm feels refreshing, and the open layout lends itself towards collaboration but also casual conversation.

What do you like about Architecture?

Architecture for me is the intersection of the subjective and the objective; the art and “logic” so to speak. To be able to devise creative yet practical solutions is what drew me to architecture because the main goal is to serve others through that creation. Especially at a company like USA, where much of the work is public, it is very exciting to participate in projects that the rising youth and community members can enjoy and create memories in.

What are some of your interests/ hobbies outside of work?

My interests / hobbies are playing soccer, making electronic music, trying new food, and spending time with friends and family.

What do you hope to accomplish at USA Architects?

I hope to achieve licensure at USA Architects and be someone that can be depended upon. I would love one day to be on the management side, constantly interacting with clients and consultants, and being an instrumental figure in bringing lines on paper to reality.
