Advanced Manufacturing + Engineering Center (AMEC)

County College of Morris

To answer the increasing demand for manufacturing, the Community College of Morris (CCM) saw a need for a new center in the county—home to more than 400 manufacturing companies. USA Architects designed the pre-engineered addition, Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering Center (AMEC) to provide ample tools and resources for today's students and tomorrow's engineers.

AMEC is equipped with over 10 specialized labs such as:

  • Additive Manufacturing Lab
  • Manufacturing Processes Lab
  • Advance Product Prototyping Lab
  • Industrial Automation + Control/Robotics/Emerging Technologies Lab
  • Modeling + Simulation Lab
  • Quality Control/Measurement Lab
  • Materials Testing Lab
  • CAD/Computer Lab
  • Electronics Lab
  • Metallurgy Lab
  • Welding Lab

The center is also home to a state-of-the-art Maker Space, General Purpose Lab/Lecture Hall, Classrooms, and Administrative + Support Space. The center offers programs that focus on relevant coursework essential to developing manufacturing and engineering jobs. CCM also extends its program to aspiring high school students ready to engage in college-level courses.
