In partnership with GRO Development, a professional services firm serving YMCAs and similar organizations, USA was selected to provide design and construction services to build this modern community-use facility. In keeping with the strategic plan, the YMCA has launched a capital development program that will result in the expansion and renovation of the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA. The project scope incorporates a series of building alterations and 4,000 sf of additions with targeted program areas to supplement the existing building and to best suit the needs of the community.
Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA's mission is giving their community access to tools and support they need in order to grow and prosper. Some of their major focuses are Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. They provide programs such as Child Care and Camp, Sports and Fine Arts, Fitness and Wellness, and Health Management.
The resulting modifications will include: Additional Multipurpose Group Exercise Studios, Expanded Wellness Fitness Area, Added Natatorium Viewing, Renovated Lobby, Community Space, and Member Service Center, Outdoor Day Camp, Open-Air Pavilion, Childcare Playgrounds, Associated Sitework, and Landscape Improvements.
