Brandt Behavioral Treatment Center and Residence

Rutgers University, the State University of New Jersey

The Residence has a two-story building that is first and foremost a safe refuge; modern and inviting to families warm with natural light, tranquil and very much like “home”. The program has accommodations for 16 single occupancy rooms with their own shower and bathroom and support “concierge level” behavioral health treatment services. Additional spaces include a commercial kitchen and space for a teaching kitchen, theatre room, common area, nurses’ station, and administrative and staff rooms.
The Treatment Center is a one-story building that complements the Residence, with outside porches and a four-season room so that residents and patients can connect to the outside all year long. A concierge is available in the lobby, which serves as the “heart” of the building. Additional programming includes group therapy rooms, fitness center, music room, chapel, and quiet rooms. Hoteling offices are available for graduate students and staff amenities includes locker rooms, conference rooms, and break rooms. Food service is conducted at the Residence and food is wheeled over to the BHTC. The BHTC offers an out-patient component that provides, after initial treatment, a continuing comprehensive aftercare treatment plan. The facility accepts all private and public insurances.
